HIGHER PROFITABILITY

Cut fertilizer costs and increase grower profitability

Growers can save money by using Plant-Prod fertilizers and using them at optimum concentrations, say by using 200 ppm rather than 400 – 500 ppm. Over-fertilization does not achieve superior results.

In order to produce robust, healthy and good-looking plants it is essential that the grower uses the correct soil amendments and fertilizer formulation. This can only be achieved if the characteristics of the water and the growing medium are first ascertained by testing. And then, critically, the fertilizer needs to be of consistently high quality, with the correct levels of micronutrients.

Plant-Prod fertilizers dissolve completely and are consistently high quality, with formulations specific to each situation. They do not contain fillers, cheaper ingredients or high concentrations of salts. The chelating agents are designed to maximize the delivery of the micronutrients to the plant, over a range of soil acidities, so the amount that leaches away is minimized.

Plant-Prod fertilizers cost a little more than economy fertilizers. However, when you take into account the total operational costs including labor, utilities, seeds, growing medium, overhead and shipping, the additional cost is likely less than 1%. The extra 1% is more than balanced off by reduced labor costs, more consistent results and crops that are more saleable.

Plant-Prod increases grower profitability.

Growers of high value crops who use Plant-Prod fertilizers, which cost slightly more than economy fertilizers, produce healthier plants faster, with less crop shrink increasing overall profitability.
