Jennifer Wacasey
Jennifer Wacasey joined the international sales force as a Regional Manager in the spring of 2008. She is currently responsible for Europe and developing new territories.
From a very young age Jennifer had a passion for plants and growing things. This eventually led her to The University of Guelph, where she obtained her Bachelor of Science in Agriculture Degree (Horticulture). Following graduation she remained at The University of Guelph working for 8 years as a Research Technician in the areas of breeding/crop improvement and tissue culture.
Following her work at the University of Guelph, Jennifer spent 13 years as a Plant Products Company Ltd. commercial sales representative in Ontario. She worked in a number of different territories within the province and gained valuable experience in the greenhouse ornamental, greenhouse vegetable, nursery and mushroom industries. During this time she developed customized fertility and pest control programs for growers and provided technical information on many other horticultural products. Jennifer took particular pleasure in assisting growers in improving their growing techniques and at the same time was constantly learning herself.
With the markets' growing interest in "eco-friendly" products, Jennifer chose to leave Plant Products and for 2 years worked as the Sales Manager for Ecoval Horticultural Products Inc. Her main focus during this time was an acetic acid based herbicide. In this position she traveled across Canada supporting distributor's sales efforts and working with end users to ensure customer satisfaction.
Now Jennifer is thrilled to be back at Plant Products and is looking forward to traveling the world to support our distributors and their customers.
Joyce Moogk
Joyce Moogk has been involved in horticulture her whole life. Having been raised by parents who worked in cut flowers, she has clear memories of cleaning flower beds in a hot greenhouse for 10 cents an hour. During her school years, she worked in a large garden center. In 1979, when she was seeking full time employment, Plant Products Co. was a natural place to apply. She was hired to work in Customer Service, taking orders from growers and distributors across Canada. Four years later, she left to help her husband with their 2 garden centers and tropical plant maintenance companies. In 1987, Plant Products hired her back as Customer Service Manager and she ran this busy department of 4 for almost 20 years. As well as customer service, Joyce's responsibilities included the quotation and purchasing of commodity items such as plastic containers and media. It was in this capacity that she met her current husband Terry, who was a purchasing manager for one of the largest greenhouse ranges in Canada.
When the International/U.S. Customer Service position became available in 2003, Joyce asked to have this position. Today, her days are busy looking after all orders from the U.S. and International Markets.
